Boat and yacht rental prices in Miami

Boats, sizes, and guest limits

Miami’s table covers yachts, fishing charters, center consoles, party boats, pontoons, and bowriders or deck boats from local rental and charter operators. Center consoles with stated dimensions are 22–37 feet and carry 6–13 guests; bowriders and deck boats are 20–25 feet and carry 7–10 guests. Party boat listings give limits of 6–22 guests, with a stated length of 29 feet.

The yacht table includes a stated length of 103 feet and a guest limit of 13, but those figures are not fleet-wide standards. Miami River Boat Rental separately lists a yacht limit of 10 passengers and a pontoon or tour limit of 8. Choose by the booked boat’s passenger limit.

Captained rentals appear across every category, but an unstated captain policy does not mean self-drive is available. Captain M Boat Rentals and Miami River Boat Rental do not offer self-drive, while Aquarius Boat Rental says all rentals include a licensed captain. See how captained boat rentals work before comparing a staffed charter with a boat you intend to operate.

What the published prices include

The table separates rental durations because packages can cover different boats and inclusions. Prices are as checked on Oct 14, 2026, using operators’ published rate pages rather than platform listings. The category samples contain 12 yacht prices from 3 operators, 18 fishing-charter prices from 3 operators, 8 center-console prices from 3 operators, 8 party-boat prices from 2 operators, 1 pontoon price from 1 operator, and 6 bowrider or deck-boat prices from 2 operators.

For 2 hours, center consoles have a median of $485 and a middle-half range of $485–$600. Party boats have a median of $403 for 2 hours and a middle-half range of $360–$475. The yacht median of $3,845 for 2 hours and the yacht median for 4 hours describe separate listing samples, not a longer-trip discount.

Miami River Boat Rental includes a captain, plus a mate for the yacht, but excludes gratuities and 7% Florida sales tax. Aquarius Boat Rental says fuel, taxes, and insurance are included. Its payment terms say part is paid at booking and the remainder on arrival, including the captain’s fee, so ask for the full total before paying.

Fuel is not stated in the yacht prices or Captain M Boat Rentals’ pricing details. Ask about minimum booking hours, separate security deposits, and damage charges. Use the calculator to split your confirmed total, and read the deposit and insurance guide before signing.

Florida requirements and local water rules

Florida law requires anyone born on or after Jan 1, 1988 who operates a vessel with an engine of 10 horsepower or more to have a Boating Safety Education Identification Card, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. FWC says renters without a Florida card can obtain a temporary certificate valid for up to 90 days. See Florida’s boating license requirements and confirm your eligibility with FWC.

Florida law also prohibits a livery from knowingly renting a motorized vessel to anyone under 18, according to FWC. Aquarius Boat Rental’s company policy says renters need no boating license or experience because a captain operates the boat. That is a captained-rental policy, not an exemption for you to operate it yourself.

FWC requires slower operation in designated Miami-Dade manatee protection zones. Follow posted restrictions, and ask the operator about required document checks or inspections before departure. Captain M Boat Rentals allows guests to bring beverages; confirm its alcohol restrictions separately and check FWC’s boating-under-the-influence requirements before operating.

Availability and peak search months

Captain M Boat Rentals advertises rentals any day of the week, year-round. Miami River Boat Rental lists pontoon rentals and private tours for Monday through Thursday only. Check your chosen boat’s schedule before arranging your group’s day.

Miami boat-rental searches peak in February, March, April, May, June, and July, according to Ahrefs search-demand measurements. Those are search-demand peaks, not published price increases. Ask whether your dated quote includes a weekend or peak-period surcharge.

Miami and Miami Beach departures

Published departure areas include Miami Beach, Bayside Marketplace, and Pier 5. Aquarius Boat Rental names Miami Beach; Captain M Boat Rentals names West Avenue and other Miami Beach locations. Boat Rental Miami names Bayside Marketplace and Pier 5.

Confirm the exact dock in your booking rather than assuming every Miami rental leaves from the same waterfront. Ask for the meeting point and boarding instructions with your confirmation.

Direct bookings, platforms, and tours

A direct operator quote gives you that company’s rates, captain arrangements, and fuel rules; booking platforms list boats from many owners and add their own service fees and policies. Compare the final payable total rather than only the advertised rental amount. The table above uses local operators’ published prices.

If you do not want to drive, compare a captained rental with a private tour; Miami River Boat Rental advertises both. For a group event, compare party boat rental costs against the guest limit and included staffing. Keep the trip duration and inclusions consistent when comparing quotes.
